Phillip Swearingen, MBA, CSSBB

President

 Mr. Swearingen is an ambidextrous operational systems counselor. He is one of the rare few that can design and develop technical and organizational solutions by applying right brain and left-brain methods simultaneously. Swearingen delivers creative, innovative, and focused strategies to enhance, grow and repair the systems, processes, and organizational management for greater results and profit in established organizations comprised of thousands of team members to start-ups.
Collaborating tirelessly from CEO’s to front line staff of medical institutions, manufacturing firms, and commercial enterprises, Phil motivates organizations to leverage a wide array of strategies, concepts and detailed analysis applications that enhance and inspire self-directed work teams. Swearingen draws upon his expertise to share with teams “Bring it on, we’ll fix it!”

With his deep technical background mixed with his creativity, attention to detail and focused problem solving, he looks at each business with a series of views that all come together to create the best plan to move forward. His unique approach engages even the hardcore non-believers in working together breaking down silos to streamline flow and improve the experience at all customer touch points.

Amy Hensdill, BHA, CLSSBB

Lean Facilitator

Ms. Hensdill attended the University of Management and Technology and holds a Bachelor of Health Administration. Retired Naval Petty Officer Hensdill served three years at Fleet Combat Training Command, Damneck, VA before reporting to Hospital Corpsman “A” School where she graduated as a Hospital Corpsman in May 1997. After completing Field Medical Service School in July 1997, she received follow-on orders to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA where she was assigned as the Senior Corpsman for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit until August 2000. In October 2000 she transferred to Naval Hospital, Naples Italy to serve 147 NATO and U.S. commands within northern Italy as the LPO for Industrial Hygiene. Amy transferred back to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA in 2003 and immediately deployed to Kuwait to serve as the LPO for 2nd FSSG Medical Battalion, Camp Victory. After returning from deployment, she served as the LPO for Nursing Services Orthopedic Ward and Occupational Audiology. In December 2007 she reported back to Naval Hospital Corpsman School Great Lakes, IL for duty as a Senior Instructor for eleven academic classes which resulted in the graduation of 1,656 students. After the disestablished of Hospital Corps School Great Lakes, she reported to Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in June 2011 as the Leading Petty Officer for the Directorate of Patient Services. In April 2012 she was hand selected to report to the Organizational Performance Improvement office to lead several efficiency improvement projects during the Command’s Transformational Plan of Care.

Amy’s qualifications and personal awards are many from her dedicated service to our nation. Detail-oriented and methodical, this Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt demonstrates unique people skills which civilian, enlisted and officers alike found to be motivating during the execution of process improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

Vaughn Harrison, MPM, CSSMBB

Project Management

Mr. Harrison graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University and a Master’s Degree in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.  In addition, Vaughn has attained Statistical Engineering and Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certifications.

Mr. Harrison’s breadth of experience includes the development and execution of process improvement and waste reduction initiatives in both corporate and industrial environments.  Highlights of his success include; leading manufacturing teams through Kaizen events, developing manufacturing SOP’s, and creating processes for rapid problem resolution.   Additionally, he developed organizational models to support accurate resource utilization during zero-base budgeting efforts.   Mr. Harrison has a passion for developing and executing Project and Program Management strategies focused on improving the alignment of business systems with organizational goals.  Prior to joining the LOC Group, Mr. Harrison developed and managed heavy-truck platform product improvement strategies focused on cross-functionally improving cost of quality key performance indicators.
