The course will include the fundamentals of process mapping and implementations of process improvement. The course will delve deeper into the principles of DMAIC.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (GB) Practitioner: 8-day course

The course is based on the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge. Students gain proficiency in the DMAIC methodology – Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control. The class will learn implementation principles, practices, and techniques of Lean Six Sigma. Students learn to collect and analyze process data by developing statistical hypotheses using statistical tools. Participants design implementation plans to validate improvement options. The class will be taught the principles about eliminating waste and reducing variation by applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Green Belt candidates will work with process owners to ensure process gains are sustained

All participants will lead and execute process-level improvement projects. This training approach provides two benefits; 1) Students gain hands on experience with problem solving and implementing solutions, 2) Organization gains the benefit of the improvement outcome. The combined benefit of the class projects will produce a return on investment of at least three times the cost of the course.

Our instructors work with the organization to properly scope Green Belt projects. The class instructors do weekly checks on student progress and provide summary updates to project sponsors. The LOC Group recommends bundling each site visit with one of the additional courses below to prepare an infrastructure within the organization to properly support the improvement efforts of the students.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt: 8-day course

The Black Belt class leverages the training gained within the Green Belt class and moves on to rigorous, disciplined statistical analysis, comparative analysis, tests for data stability and normality. Students will review advanced Lean methods, regression and correlation, plus quick changeovers (SMED). The course will include participant project reviews, cover team dynamics, deep dive into advanced statistical tools, and design of experiments.
